Lily philips and the disgrace of pornography

Post by Thomas_muntzer »

This is Lily Phillips, the woman who recently shocked the internet by accepting the challenge of sleeping with 100 men in one day.
She's an OnlyFans model: literally, modern virtual prostitution. It's estimated that at least 1.4 million American women create pornographic content on OnlyFans: an incredible number!
We may find it funny, repulsive, disgusting, or outrageous (as it should); but it causes me pain.
This woman is a product of a culture subverted and corrupted by the pornography industry. She could be a daughter, a sister, a cousin, a niece, a mother, or a wife.
Listen carefully to what she says about the age at which she was introduced to online pornography and how it influenced her.

Please, parents, understand: Pornography is just a few clicks away from your own children, and it is a deadly poison that will not only corrupt your children's minds but also set them on a path of self-destruction, destroying their bodies, their souls, and their honor.
For the sake of your children's bodies and souls, please: Don't give your children electronic devices! The benefits do not outweigh the risks!
And let's strive for the day when pornography is illegal again.

I recall the quote from Alvin Goldstein, a publisher who fought for the legalization and dissemination of pornography in the last century:

“The only reason we're into pornography is because we think Christ is garbage. Christianity is garbage. Pornography thus becomes a way of desecrating Christian culture, and as it penetrates the very heart of the American mainstream, its subversive nature becomes more intense.”

This girl is a product of that subversion of Christian culture through pornography

Pornography should be illegal, with severe punishments. Some pornography is, so the question is why so much of it is allowed.

Because the Supreme Court unfortunately decided that pornography was protected speech under the First Amendment, it would be excellent if this ruling were reversed. At least some states have begun implementing age verification laws so that children cannot access this destructive poison

I didn't and won't watch this. While the subject is valid, I don't think we should give space here for someone currently in the porn industry to speak on the topic.

Never heard of her so I looked her up. She is British not American and reportedly earned about a quarter million dollars doing it. People worse things for less money every day. The more you you obsess and discuss people like her, the more money she makes. No publicity is bad publicity in her business. That is how it works. You are literally making her more money by putting her name on the internet. I, for one, have no interest in watching her video interview. The whole point of making these interview videos is to keep her name famous and drive more people to her site so she can make more money.

You know the answer to that question.

Child porn is illegal because it exploits and harms children. Porn involving adult actors and models is not illegal because of the First Amendment. Which also protects your religious liberties.

Pornography being legal does not protect my religious liberties.

Pornography harms adults, too.

Some religion harms adults too.

If you believe in freedom for some but not all, then you don't really believe in freedom at all, you believe in privilege.

I find comparing religion to pornography particularly disgusting.
