Anabaptism@500 (Zürich, May 2025)
This is the mainstream Mennonite event commemorating the 500th anniversary of Anabaptism. For those who would rather not brave the January weather in Switzerland, it's scheduled for Ascension Day.

Here's the service at the Grossmünster.
The organizers did not set up any sort of registration for the event, and seriously underestimated the popularity. There was a huge crowd waiting outside the Grossmünster for admission, and I was close enough to the doors to be hopeful of a seat, but it was not to be. When they announced it was full, I zipped over to another church where it was simulcast in English, and ended up in the top row of the balcony. Probably got a better view that way even if it wasn't quite as historic.

Thanks for sharing this. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall during this. I would love to hear your thoughts on your experience there.

Indeed he does get around. He told us when he visited here that he enjoys doing weekend trips abroad.
