Bluetooth earpiece?

Post by the-real-steve »

My employer issued me a headset that loop around the top of my head. It feels awkward since I wear a hat and eyeglasses. I would like to get an earpiece that loops around my ear.

Any suggestions?

The Apple AirPods 2 are on sale and work very well. I wear them underneath conventional hearing protection earmuffs and they have the side benefit I can hear people talking via the AirPods’ transparency mode, but it screens out engines, saws, hammer drills, and so forth.

I like my AirPods better than anything else I've tried when driving truck. The disadvantages are that they are a bit easy to drop and lose, and the battery doesn't last all day, although it takes them only a few minutes to recharge in the case.

Out of curiosity, I just checked and you can get accessories like straps and ear hooks for AirPods. If I drove everyday I would definitely want something like that.

I use airpods for bike commuting in transparency mode. I use these which work great:

The new AirPods Pro 3 are even better…. But that means the Pro 2 are on sale.

I picked up an extra charging case for around $35 on eBay.
