Nordhavn - "The World's First Five-minute City"

While I do not enjoy city living, there is lots about this that would be nice.

A wee little man can’t say, I’m sorry. A big man owns his mistakes and apologizes.
A wee little man trusts himself and his own discernment. A big man is humble enough to know that he needs the counsel and input of others.

Many small and medium size cities in Japan follow a model close to this. Each unit is a school and shopping district surrounded by a ring of residential zoning. Any cars inside the "pod" must yield to all pedestrian traffic who walk anywhere they choose. Traffic is very limited and slow so even young children walk unassisted to stores and to school.
