There. Now that's out of the way.
So I have 3 email accounts, one business, one personal, and another because some forum registration processes didn't accept email addresses with an underscore 'character', and that's how the standard email addresses were configured through SIL & WBT, so ... old habits.
Anyway, these email accounts were originally hosted by Frontier telephone, and then later Yahoo took over. No problem with that until now, when they tell me that I have to delete my accounts and then re-create them, in order not to be completely excommunicated sometime this coming Monday.
I have also always had mine set up as POP3 accounts,
Another round of laughter...
so with well over 10,000 emails (from 16 + years of business, Doing our congregation's mission board's finances and correspondence for 12 years, plus being the finance guy - the Judas holding the money bag - for a year or so), it took me HOURS to move all of those messages out of the main account folders into the Local Folder (where perhaps I should have had them to start with). I also had various levels of folders and subfolders, to organize all of the customers, suppliers, etc.
So after I finally got all of that done, my address book was gone. Well, I had a copy of that, so can sort of find that info. Then I proceeded to delete one of the email accounts, and then attempt to re-create it, per the Yahoo instructions for Thunderbird users.
The Problem: When I complete the form and enter the password, it says that I have enable 'cookies' on my browser. That was already set that way, and there's no further link or anything else to do. And yeah, I shut it down and restarted.
On the two accounts that I have not deleted yet, I can RECEIVE messages, but cannot SEND. I can also get access on-line to all three accounts, but the one I had deleted in Thunderbird shows a message in the in-box, but then if I open the in-box, it says there nothing there.
Oh, and I'm also still running Windows 7. I know, I already got the lecture about that. (By the way, that Brave browser issue with MennoNet disappeared after awhile, and I've gone back to it for all of my personal stuff. I was using Supermium for that period of time when Brave was kicking me out of MennoNet. I just use Chrome for business purchases and research, although I will say that the Google search results have become increasingly poor.)
