Brave/Dissenter

Post by Robert »

I have been using the Dissenter variant of Brave browser. I have been quite pleased with it. It is much more secure and private. Either are much more restrictive to what they pass on. Dissenter blocks most all tracking tools by default. It is quick and clean also. Brave has more settings and some of the best privacy features are turned off at start. Dissenter has them all turned on and adds a few. Anyone wanting to stay away from the big tech overlords will find a friend in Dissenter or Brave.

I had not seen your post until now. Was going to get Dissenter, but I'm still in the 32-bit Win 7 world. (Have some programs that won't run in 64-bit.)
Will try Brave out.

I like Dissenter because it strips out all the crytocurrency stuff too.

I have switched from FireFox to Brave, and it seems to run a lot faster. No ads.

I turned on the Brave Rewards in exchange for crypto for a while, but the popups were a little annoying, so back to basic Brave, and it is great.

I look forward to using Dissenter, it has the possibility for building an entirely different internet - one that is owned by the public - a MeWe for the browser. To be able to see someone else's comments about a website would help assure me whether the site was legitimate or fraudulent. I think that is a big plus.
