Re: HPV and Cancer link

Ken,

The majority of the conservatives don't have insurance and pay out of pocket for things like vaccines.

Re: HPV and Cancer link

I recall reading this. He and I are not as far apart as you might think. That would be the part where I would disagree with him on but it’s a fairly minor point. So you wouldn’t think he’s living in sin by refusing a rubella vaccine that is ethically compromised? If I were his patient, I would be n...

Re: Marrying Someone With a Promiscuous Past

If we’re really going to criticize a woman or man for turning down someone over their past relational issues or some sin… can we attack people that decide not to marry a redhead first?

Who is he? He wrote a six part series on vaccines and why we have the issue with fetal cells and ethical issues. He holds a different position than me on fetal cell testing, but agrees on vaccines grown or medication grown on fetal cells. https://www.anabaptistmedicalmatters.com/2017/06/vaccines-1-...

Re: HPV and Cancer link

If Prudish is what following the Bible is called, fine. I’m a prude then. I would define prudish in this context as outwardly obsessing about one particular sin while overlooking others. Especially when the moralizing is directed at other people and not oneself. I’m not not particularly concerned a...

Re: Marrying Someone With a Promiscuous Past

The keyword here is "tendencies." If Christ has given him the victory over it, and he continues to walk in the power and grace of the Lord Jesus, I see no problem in and of itself. That he concealed it would likely be a matter of confession and counseling, which would vary, depending on t...

Re: HPV and Cancer link

The only real reasons not to do it are some sort of prudish disapproval of sex. And the wishful expectation that your children will live their lives exactly according to your plans. Which I find to be weak arguments but others apparently do not. If Prudish is what following the Bible is called, fin...

Re: HPV and Cancer link

I appreciate living in a society where people are allowed to make choices about their personal health. I also see value in mass vaccinations to slow disease circulation so vulnerable people are protected by "herd immunity". I don't know how to square that circle. My way of squaring it is ...
