Re: Pence's discomfort at Trump's statement is palpable

I saw this somewhere else and can't figure out what the big deal is. I mean, one would assume he's talking about his wife?

Re: Why Mennonite Death Rate Was Double Average During 1918 Flu Epidemic

I don't agree with the reason. Other churches socialize at least as much as Mennonites do. Our boys go to a non Mennonite church school. There are always activities, more than most Mennonite activities. They have Saturday breakfast, birthday parties, Wednesday night suppers, basketball games, cross...

Re: COVID-19: Silver Linings?

Even though there are good places and events that have been shut down, we can be glad for all the evil places and events that also are shut down.
Bars, strip clubs, Hollywood, drag queen story hour at libraries, and even a number of abortion centers are being closed, or severely impeded in there work.

I'm not sure if there's a typo or I'm just really dense, but I can't for the life of me figure out what you're asking! ;)

Re: What are your thoughts on re-baptism?

I'm truly puzzled with how someone thinks baptism can be more important than church membership... it's obvious in scripture that we're supposed to be members of a church body, and that's a real, visible church body with real people we can see and meet. Re: What are your thoughts on re-baptism?

I AM very thankful for ...

Re: What are your thoughts on re-baptism?

Thank you everyone for your input. There are a few different slants to the subject that I hadn't considered.
Also, to clarify, this is my own personal thing; no one has asked me to be rebaptised to fit in with their own thinking/standards.

4-year-old daughter: I wish we could start days over.
Me: Why?
Daughter: Because THAT way, if I messed up and did something BAD, I could start over and then I would know not to do it!

Me too, darlin. Me too.....
