Re: Biblical Mennonite Alliance and credential removal of past abusers

Do we have any indication if there are any changes or movement in this situation? Is it a closed conversation?

Re: Biblical Mennonite Alliance and credential removal of past abusers

 It seems like an audit or review could expose who has been executed and who has been an executor. Then remaining members could decide if they wish to be executed or be executors.

Never thought of this model of shepherding before but I guess Ezekiel 34 has been around a while.

Thats correct. The lights don’t turn themselves on. It takes people willing to flip switches.

Re: Biblical Mennonite Alliance and credential removal of past abusers

Would an internal or external review or audit or investigation reveal deficiencies in structure or policy or practices in a way that could be useful for rectification? I find it interesting that you seem generally against an investigative review and yet have plausible risk management theories that I...

Re: Biblical Mennonite Alliance and credential removal of past abusers

I understand the decision making process. My question isn’t about how to count votes. My question is whether or not an external investigation is a good ethical moral wise Godly idea when kids have been harmed and tensions have arisen. My question isn’t about the popularity of such an idea. Many terr...

Re: Biblical Mennonite Alliance and credential removal of past abusers

What do Christians do when there are allegations of kids being mistreated? Its not a rhetorical question. Its a request for reasonable dialogue. I have yet to hear of anyone hiring a hostile, outside investigator to investigate themselves. As far as organisations go, if you want an outside, hostile...

Re: Biblical Mennonite Alliance and credential removal of past abusers

Does anyone know if there will be an investigation or is this now stale news and everything is fine? Generally speaking, people and organisations don't hire a hostile outside investigator to go find bad things about themselves. What do Christians do when there are allegations of kids being mistreat...
