Re: Is Haiti Near Actual Collapse?

I’m also sure there are plenty of unemployed people in your local area - it’s just easier to take advantage of people from the third world who will accept low wages and unsafe working conditions. Josh, in our area there are many jobs here that local folks won't take because it is beneath them or be...

Re: The soup & sandwich thread

Love tomato soup and grilled cheese.
Another favorite is pasta e fagioli that I make with cornbread- sweet corn bread.
Or chicken noodle with blueberry or Irish soda bread muffins
Love soup.
Our school never did peanut butter and marshmallow sandwiches. Used to like them too sweet now. :)

Re: New Subsection?

From all I have read about Anabaptists, I would say there was fervent prayer among many- all no but many and they were quietly going about rebaptizing and not baptizing their infants/children. I don't remember reading about uprisings being the norm for the Anabaptists. Also while Catholicism may hav...

Re: Questions for Protestants: Mainline and Evangelical

I am no longer mainline protestant and actually you have more mainline protestants that are pacifists as opposed to non resistant then you have either in the Evangelical circles. Many of my friends are Evangelical and they talk about just wars and you end up talking across each other and getting no ...

Re: The immorality of engagement rings

Does it matter is if it means nothing to you but means something to the couple? There are things we all do that make no sense as to the purpose to other people. Is it hurting you? You seem to be as upset about how people who aren't plain like you behave and do things as those who aren't plain are up...

Re: The immorality of engagement rings

There are many many folks out there who have small engagement rings and more and more seem to be getting other stones over diamonds. Once again- simplicity and not spending a fortune for it- but that should be the way with all things we do- don't go overboard in spending on things
