The "X" in X-mas (still pronounced "Christmas") is a taking into our alphabet the Greek "Chi" which looks like "X", the first letter of "Christ". To me it emphasizes Christ. Thanks! I hadn't known that. i just learned about this (last year) from MrJ...

i find Carter confusing as a politician, and as a Christian; either-or, both.
