Re: Church leadership: term limits

The last phrase of the honorable Mr. Donner's comment contains an immense variable. One nearly insurmountable in practicality. Does one assume that leadership has the direction of God in a way lay people do not, as some maintain? if so, complaints or concerns voiced by the great unwashed are easily...

Re: File associations lost

That's pretty jacked up. Can you do a reinstall (you can do this without erasing all your files)? Reinstalling a specific app will bring the file associations with that app back. If you have a System Restore point from before the file associations went bad, you could try rolling back to that, too. ...

Re: Church leadership: term limits

Just wondering out loud here. Is the ordination of NT leaders somehow connected to the OT appointment of priests? .... Isn't there something in the Law about a priest retiring at a certain age? (I'm thinking that it is 50.) Num 8:24 This is it that belongeth unto the Levites: from twenty and five y...

Re: Church leadership: term limits

Terms limits as understood in the political system, that is, an absolute definite end to serving in a particular capacity, probably not. Endless assignment without congregational evaluation is not good either. Ordination does not impart perfection. Accountability, to actually mean anything must car...

Re: The Parrot Sketch

And the answer is:
A cat has claws at the end of it's paws, and a comma is a pause at the end of a clause...LOL

I backed it up once, but could only back it up on the existing server. Since all was lost, the backup was lost too.
Good thing our salvation didn't depend on MD... "All is lost".

File associations lost

File associations lost. Several weeks ago now, I had some Win7 updates on my computer and the next day when I turned it on again, all of the shortcuts to my various folders came up with an error message telling me that there was no program associated with the link to open the file and told me to go ...

Re: Today ...

Even after I was confirmed, I was told I couldn't read the threads...But now, here I am and found that Robert has begun his now infamous thread entitled, "Today". Now about all the post totals that we all lost...In that respect, I was the biggest loser from MD (not the state either). This ...
