Re: Salvation.
The Gospel of Salvation is all about Jesus. Some evangelicals tend to accept and emphasis the free gift of salvation and de-emphasize the good works that follow. Some anabaptists tend to emphasis good works and de-emphasize the free gift of salvation. Salvation IS a free gift and resulting good work...

Re: Christian Ethics and Recycling & other Ecological Efforts
I voted #7, although I am not there consistently. I'm sometimes in the wasteful sections, and occasionally diving in a dumpster (although less and less frequently in each decade) Thanks for the encouragement Steve! I understand from the Bible, that we are expected by God to be stewards of all the wo...

Re: If conservative Anabaptist was "right", why are there virtually no churches in major cities?
To Chris... You and I can't reach 8 billion, but we can be stewards of the opportunities that God gives us. We can't be Apostle Paul, Menno Simons, William Carey, Mother Mary, Joseph, Mother Teresa, Dwight Moody, Billy Graham, Ernie, Dan Z, or anyone, except ourselves. And we can pray, pray, pray. T...

To Zehr, The New York Magazine article was very depressing ... "Spiraling in San Francisco’s Doom Loop What it’s like to live in a city that no longer believes its problems can be fixed." But, consider this - sometimes when a person or a city reaches the proverbial "bottom of the barr...

Re: Current Meaningful Scripture Verse
Psalm 103:1 "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!" Today, I am blessing the Lord Jesus Christ, because of who He is and what He is doing. More excerpts from Psalm 103 that are so comforting ..... Remember that He ... - forgives all your iniquity, - he...

Brother Eby, Thanks for the interesting anabaptist history video link from Ready to Harvest. This comment of yours is spot on, in my opinion.... "Jesus tells us to pray that the Lord will send laborers into the harvest. This is the way to change things. We can also encourage people to go."...

Re: Former Muslims Message & Plea
Franklin, I watched about 4 minutes of the 11 minute Dirty Money music you-tube that you linked; but needed to stop it, because it was seemed hateful. I did not see any connection between it and the testimony message of the man at Valerie's church service, whose life was transformed by the love of J...

Re: Former Muslims Message & Plea
Hi Valerie and Franklin, Did you listen to the program, Franklin? To Valerie - Thanks for posting this "Spoken Word" I listened and was greatly encouraged with the message from Matthew 16:13-18. Who is Jesus? (His identity); followed by His call for us to believe and follow Him, even at gr...
