Re: Worldly Purchase?
our typical compromise was to buy the newest, lowest mileage vehicle we could. 10,000 miles reduces the price, but provides very similar results, including warranty, as a new purchase. My typical strategy is to buy the newest, highest mileage vehicle in my price range. A few more miles reduces the ...

Re: Worldly Purchase?
Well, Valerie, it’s been fun+informative reading along on your VW venture. This forum is great for automotive questions, and, other, practical, real life questions. The fact you managed to get undershepherd’s return is a welcome bonus. :D undershepherd - it sounds as tho work is going well! - did y...

Re: Worldly Purchase?
I do in fact get my VW serviced at the dealer. The 40K check/service for a DSG is 750$. Mine is more like 400$ for the check that includes transmission service. Local VW independent won't touch transmissions for some reason. He is close to worthless, and if you have a major problem his advice is to...

Re: Business Innovation: Shoot First
I agree with Appleman on all his posts. I think the quote in the OP is not quite the right terminology but I think the idea he is trying to present is the right one. We don't all have to be on the cutting edge of innovation all the time, but we do need to be constantly seeking to improve ourselves a...

Re: US Beef and Pork Exports
Our local Costco has ribeye for $10.99 to 19.99 per lb. When I walked by I thought it surely was 19.99 per package but then I looked at the label on the package and saw $65 total. The cheapest steak was sirloin for $7.99. It is no wonder that restaurant prices for steak dinners have gone up a couple...

That is so not true.Josh wrote:It's completely normal to go to a less conservative group's conference.
The opposite almost never happens. After all, why would anyone ever want to be more conservative than the bare minimum they have to be?

Re: 107th Conservative Mennonite Conference
Lots of non-BMA folks show up at BMA conventions. It wouldn't be weird at all.
