Re: Gov Youngkin / Virginia
One of the differences with Gov. Youngkin is that he is a genuinely nice guy. I had the opportunity to meet him and even helped him buy an animal at our local 4H/FFA sale. One thing you have to understand about VA is that once you get outside the Northern VA and Tidewater areas the state is overwhel...

Re: Postage Stamp collecting
Postage stamp collecting has almost become a thing of the past. It is very difficult to sell stamp collections now. Unless the stamps are new/uncancelled and can actually be used for postage. I have a huge quantity of stamps to sell in an estate auction that we are currently working on. Here is a li...

This is evidenced by the call f...

Re: stimulus payments
They do understand that this is basically a tax credit right? Does EPMC require all tax filers to refuse tax credits?

Things to be thankful for
The world seems full of bad news today. And indeed it is potentially very bad. But there is a huge amount of good things to be thankful for even in the midst of all the bad news. We are in an unprecedented situation in this country and all across the world. But at the same time it isn't so unprecede...

Re: Good Fundraising
Benefit auctions seem to be a mad success in a lot of areas. That approach to fundraising does take a lot of work on the part of the organization and its staff. Simply asking people for strait up financial donations is a more difficult pull, I think. I'm responsible currently for writing the bi-mon...

Re: Good Fundraising
I am a professional fundraiser and I work with quite a number of non-profits on a regular basis. Those non-profits include organizations that provide humanitarian relief (Mennonite Disaster Service), a summer camp for special needs children, two different organizations that provide assistance to vic...
