Re: Amish & Mennonites Speak as One Rally 11/1/20 in Washington DC
Anabaptists are once again getting swept up in God and Country theology and really need to go back to their basic tenet of separation of church and state. What does "separation of church and state" mean? According to one source, former Senator Rick Santorum (R-Penn.) said it is worth noti...

Re: Poll - Noah’s Flood - Factual or Figurative?
I have no doubt that there have been massive floods over time. They happen to this day in some parts of the world. But the "world" as understood by the ancient Israelites was tiny. The known world at the time of Noah was what? 500 or 1000 miles across? A flood covering most or all of thos...

Re: Good things about: 2020
But seriously, there were some positives such as that it was nice earlier in the year when the bars were closed, and entertainment was shut down. Not that I was anti-entertainment but so much of it is sinful rubbish. Bars may have been closed, but drinking at home sky-rocketed. Big time. Domestic a...

Re: Good things about: 2020
A good thing about 2020 is it is almost over! :laugh But seriously, there were some positives such as that it was nice earlier in the year when the bars were closed, and entertainment was shut down. Not that I was anti-entertainment but so much of it is sinful rubbish. I also liked evening drives wh...

Re: Should Christians vote?
Thought experiment: Aren't there times that there really is a significant moral difference between two candidates? Suppose the 2024 election is between Abraham Lincoln and Adolph Hitler . Shouldn't Christians be able to identify important moral differences between these two men? I don't think there...

Re: Should Christians vote?
If I only had the choice between Trump and Biden I am not sure if I would vote. In Switzerland we have two small explicitly evangelical parties (one a bit more liberal, the other very conservative). If I vote for them I feel they will at least try to implement a „Christian agenda“. What‘s more, we ...

Re: Should Christians vote?
Maybe those of you who vote sometimes could enlighten me, but I would not have realized that there is a "No" option on the ballot for electing politicians. Did Mr. Gish perhaps mean to say that he had voted for a righteous man? There is a write-in option. One can write "No" or &...
