Re: Anabaptism, the New Testament, and capital punishment
One of the first commands God gave after the Flood was for capital punishment. [Gen 9:5-6 NASB20] – I certainly will require your lifeblood; from every animal I will require it. And from every person, from every man as his brother I will require the life of a person. Whoever sheds human blood, By ma...

Re: briar patch
When Moses spoke the execution of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, I'd say that was pretty public: in front of all Israel. The earth opened up and swallowed all those rebellious people, and they fell screaming into the pit. After which God sent down fire to burn up 250 more men. That was not at all priva...

Re: Mary & Joseph
To me, the Magnificat is one example that shows Mary did not grasp the mission of Jesus. It points to someone who would liberate Israel from its foreign military occupation. That's not what happened, and it is not what Jesus was called to. Where does she say anything about liberation from foreign o...

Re: Mary & Joseph
Kind of like the disciples' memory loss to Jesus' foretold death and resurrection.

Re: God and War
Had this in my Bible reading recently: [Jer 22:3 NKJV] – 3 'Thus says the LORD: "Execute judgment and righteousness, and deliver the plundered out of the hand of the oppressor. Do no wrong and do no violence to the stranger , the fatherless, or the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place. ...

Re: Air Fryers?
We have an air fryer, and I use it practically every day. It's especially practical during summer's hot weather without AC. I've not heard of dangers of air fryers as with microwaves.

Re: Curse of Ham
I started watching the video, but decided I didn't want to finish it. I think it is clear that Adam's nakedness was simply being uncovered, as Genesis states; and this reiterates it: [Gen 9:23 KJV] – 23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, an...
