Twizzlers is 'plastic', not real licorice. And black is the only real licorice!

Rained yesterday after a long dry spell. Garden looks very nice this morning.
Picking peas. This time filled a household bucket from 3 rows. Last time 4 rows didn't quite fill it.
Strawberries need to be picked today also.

We are picking strawberries.

Looks like the first hull peas will be ready next week.

My one grandma grew her own saffron and made the best saffron gravy!
My other grandma made homemade bread, homemade butter and grandpa would get real honey with the comb. That was a special treat.

How does grits compare to cornmeal mush? We ate mush at home but not grits..... not sure if I've ever had them?

I always wondered if they couldn't find a fragrance free deodorant to use?

My one brother has really neat handwriting. Mine tends to be rather untidy and I generally use a blend of cursive and print. If I start out in print, I often end up using cursive as its faster.

My youngest children didn't do as much cursive writing as the older ones did.

From what I was told, the reason for not using deodorant was because it was worldly to use fragrances.

When I had trouble with waking up at 2 or 3 in the morning and not being able to fall asleep again until it was time to get up, my health care provider had me take 5HTP.

I agree with what the other ladies are saying. Modesty is not drawing attention to ourselves, in clothes or actions, etc.
