Re: Anabaptist Book Ministry

In the case of the last book "I" received (at my father-in-law's house, which we now own), the letter was on the back of the address cover sheet. So maybe they didn't look at the back. (It was an 8 1/2 x 11 full sheet, folded to half size. So if the recipient doesn't unfold it, they will ...

Re: Anabaptist Book Ministry

Thanks for y'all's information. I checked back in with my relatives, one couldn't recall and the other did not receive a letter.

I'm still baffled by how this mailing list was created. I suppose some things may never be understood.

Re: Anabaptist Book Ministry

How do I get added to their distribution list? That is the big mystery, to answer this, "their" has to be defined. Currently it remains ambiguous who exactly is behind this. All I know for sure is that it is a group of Anabaptist sending out books. Interestingly, there was not even a note...

Anabaptist Book Ministry

Is anyone familiar with organization called Anabaptist Book Ministry? Books from this organization have been randomly showing up at my relative’s homes. Nobody has any idea how their name was placed on the mailing list. The most recent book was “ I Appeal To Scripture The Life and Writings of Michae...

Harmonia Sacra / Sacred Harp

A few comments on Sacred Harp Singing I've sung from the old ones. Sacred Harp singing is pretty awesome. The two fa's thing is weird. I agree, it is an awesome musical style. It does take some getting used to. The scale is fa so la fa so la mi. Just like the 7 note solfege, the brain adjusts and it...

Re: Biblical Mennonite Alliance and credential removal of past abusers

If in fact BMA is solely an association of leaders, why does it need $4MM per year in revenue, and where does it spend $4MM per year in expenses including more than $2MM in wages? If Beacon of Light was simply a project sponsored by a BMA congregation, why was BMA listing it so prominently on the o...

Re: Oasis Chorale dancing

I didn't see the performance as I live too far away. I wish I could have though. I enjoy Oasis and have since their very first cd "Treasures in Heaven." I get it though, their music is not everyone's style. That's completely ok. I think that God can be honored and glorified through music t...

A good side effect of this might be that plainer groups will stop letting Oasis come around.
Why is it a good thing if Oasis stops coming around?

Re: What Should Go in a First Aid Kit?

Copaiba oil is also a great antiseptic, one that I've used on burns (not talking sunburn, a real burn) and I didn't even get a blister. Best story I have about it is that one of the Banawa men was chopping a fallen tree to clear the river, and chopped off the two toes next to his big toe. (He had o...

Re: Is “infestation” Biblical language?

So since it seems to be the consensus that infestation is an ok word to use to describe a group of people, i guess i am allowed to say this: MennoNet is infested with JohnH and his supporters. Lord have mercy Justme, why don’t you say how you really feel? Seems lately your main contributions are in...
