Re: Sattler College Turmoil
I think there is a level of picking sides here rather than picking truth. It’s one thing to disagree theologically and another to disagree with how a person delivers there theology. It’s a subtle issue where agreeing with someone sharing what is correct but it is shared rude and demanding and giving...

Re: Sattler College Turmoil
Men may call me a knave or a fool, a rascal, a scoundrel, and I am content; but they shall never by my consent call me reformed. Borrowed, in part, from John Wesley. With respect JM, your demands on others that they answer yes or no and using terms such as telling people they are using “weasel word...

Re: Which evangelisation method is most effective?
If you look up the original word and meaning of what an evangelist is - it simply means to share the gospel. It doesn’t necessarily point to what the outcome of sharing is but rather that the gospel was shared. A true evangelist stays incredibly motivated by this. He does not need results of outcome...

Re: Sattler College Turmoil
Is it possible you've forgotten to account for the Mennonite Work Ethic® again? … Inconveniently, this particular Sattler graduate has never actually been a member of a Mennonite church, but I see no need to let that stop us from crediting all his success to his Mennoniteness. After all, like all p...

Re: Why do Westerners convert to Islam?
“Christianity” in the West as it is represented by the lifestyles of professing “Christians” as a whole is an absolute disgrace. “Do what you may but you are still going to heaven.” - This just pushes away those looking for truth and Islam holds some biblical values and accountability. Honestly, as ...

Re: What are your thoughts re Hegelian Dialectic & CRT in the Church?
None of what you said is relevant to whether or not Critical Theory needs to be pushed on teachers and taught to elementary students. Elementary students don't need to be learning about race, "white supremacy" (whatever that is), and racial identities and grievances at all. How about teac...

Re: Russia Invades Ukraine 2022
After the battle of Stalingrad, it was over for the Germans in WWII. That is when the Germans lost the war. A war is lost when replacements cannot keep up with losses. It is just a matter of time. The war was actually lost the previous winter when they failed to take Moscow in the winter of 1940 an...

Re: Generally speaking
I know of at least one local family who found Mennonet, it lead to doubts and they stopped attending church services. Maybe the timing was just on and Mennonet played less into then I think? I find it more of a place to gain other peoples perspectives and exercising my own thoughts in relating to ot...
