Re: Miscellaneous mental meanderings

I’ll not quote it all here as it would be large, but I’m quite curious as to why Colossians 4:1 wasn’t put in chapter 3 as they created the chapter and verse divisions. Any thoughts? What am I missing?

Re: Username

Hi, Reflect! And no, I am not! I drop in here on very occasional occasions to see if anything catches my interest. If I had it to do from the beginning I would change my username. It was a spur of the moment choice as I was joining MD to begin with (which was an equally spur of the moment decision....

Re: Going Public about Abuse?

If the (civil) law has been broken in an area of morality, then it needs to be "public" up to the point of telling authorities. (My opinion.) And if people in power are the ones who have committed the abuse, those authorities need to be held accountable. In many cases, that can only be do...

Re: Going Public about Abuse?

(Not sure what forum this should be in, so we'll start here) In light of numerous events that have made the news the past few months, my mind has been all over the place. Between the current senate hearings, FBI probes, all the stuff in the Catholic church as well as some things happening here on a...

Re: The Nicene Creed

For what it's worth, one of my main hesitations with the Trinity involves biblical statements about things that it does not account for - the Sevenfold Spirit of God in the Revelation, the Glory of the Lord in Ezekiel, and other imagery related to God. I am not sure that the Bible gives us a neat, ...

That didn't strike me as much as the absence of the resurrection.

The site as a whole appears to have some really good stuff as well as some really weird stuff. But I see the OP's question has been answered elsewhere.
Where?

Re: "It's Just War" - Should Christians Fight? Debate

Ernie, I was very intrigued by those 2 men, and I'm now very curious which of the two you are referring to. That's sad about those sour comments from the supposed-nonresistant side. To me the debate was not what it seemed--the non-resistant side had nothing new to say and their perspective of the c...

I understand what you are saying here. We become too defensive of our nonresistance. :-|

Ernie, is the debriefing online too?
