Re: Anabaptist History Series - 2024
I was thinking it was about time for another one and sure enough there was one last Thursday here for anyone else who missed it.

Re: At the time of death?
Did she mean she saw the spirit itself or she saw when the spirit left the body? A lady at church told me that when her mother died her family was visiting with her on her deathbed when suddenly she waved goodbye and left.

Re: Worldbook Encyclopedia Censorship Topics
I don’t know that I would worry too much about it. We had a set on World Book encyclopedias growing up. There are thousands of boring articles you have to flip past to get to the interesting ones (mostly favorite animals in my case) and there’s nothing that would particularly attract a child’s atten...

Re: Anabaptist History Series - 2024
One thing he said last week was that the proto-Anabaptists rejected infant baptism but they had not yet come to embrace believer’s baptism. What did he mean by this? To me rejecting infant baptism necessarily means accepting believer’s baptism (unless you go Quaker and reject baptism altogether). It...

Re: Can we make MN less hostile?
I was thinking of the many visitors who never join. On any given day if I pop in there are between 15-25 visitors. That's a lot of traffic. I personally know some folks who are seeking and stop here to get a feel for things in various settings. MN is a safe place to do that, which is great. Most of...

Re: Israel is Babylon the Great
Well, I guess that's a question for Lex. Can someone who is not born Jewish become part of the shadowy supersecret international Jewish conspiracy that controls everything if they convert? And more importantly, if I convert to Judaism, do you think they'll let me control something? Maybe something ...

Re: Air Canada found liable for what it's AI Chatbot does
But Sora is happy to create realistic videos ... https://openai.com/sora I have never seen a woman's leg switch from one side of her body to the other as shown around the 12 second mark in that video. Also in the “historically accurate” Gold Rush video, the first building on the right seems to have...

Re: Air Canada found liable for what it's AI Chatbot does
I can understand why the manufacturer of AI might want to steer away from such topics. First, why antagonize the vegetarians and vegans unnecessarily. For what gain? Second, the heart is desperately wicked, how long before someone sick person learns how to bend the prompt into butchering humans. I ...
