Re: Question about Marxist Analysis of Class Consciousness

I tend to have an understanding of this that will appear very simplistic, and maybe it is. You all tell me. I think that it all comes back to the same basic idea as is referred to as "Limited Good" in anthropological descriptions of folk societies, and in some tribal societies. I think yo...

Re: The Anabaptist perception towards jellies & jams!

We make it here in VA. Start with cider and apple pieces and cook it down in a big kettle over a fire until it's thick, then add sugar and cinnamon oil.

Re: Closing of 16 Starbucks - safety Concerns

I want a cup of coffee at Ken's house. Roasting your own coffee is not hard. I've done it successfully about 6 different ways from using a modified $10 air popcorn popper bought from Walgreens to using the rotisserie attachment on my grill to using a heat gun (that you use for stripping paint) and ...

Re: Roe and Guns

Fantasies of a united armed populace rising up against the corrupt central government, or of the honest hard-working rednecks rising up against the dirty rotten leftists seem pretty unlikely to me. Re: Opinion on the Roe v. Wade Leak

We adopted 2 through the foster system and everything you have said here rings true to me. May I ask approximately what expense is involved with adopting through the foster system? None. They do all the paperwork and pay the attorney fees. I think we could even pick our own attorney, but they may h...

Re: Opinion on the Roe v. Wade Leak

Having been adopted at birth after my bio-mom was talked out of aborting me, and now being involved in the foster system with active intent to adopt (potentially more than once), I have a bit of a vested interest in this subject and would just like to put in a bit of a clarifying plug. There is no ...
