Re: Tracking Viktor Orban

I started this thread to keep tabs on Mr. Orban and the ideas/ movements he represents. It's worth tracking because he and his party have been held out by thought leaders here in the US as a model of success. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-62313579.amp My parents were from Hungary but I don'...

Re: Conservative Anabaptist Church Finder & Information

Anyone know of any conservative Mennonites churches in The Netherlands or Belgium or nearby in France or Germany? Yes we are in Germany. We also are about 35 mins from the German i58 outpost, so there’s always a few Mennonites serving there. I believe there’s quite a few Brudergemeinde (Russian Men...

Re: Abortion Rates by Countries of the World

There could be a whole host of reasons why there are differences -- how is available is contraception in Australia to teens? What about comprehensive sexual education? Birth control and even abortions are under the „universal healthcare“ umbrella. I used Australia as they seem to have a similar sta...

Re: Abortion Rates by Countries of the World

The age of consent in Germany is 14 if both people are under the age of 18. That seems to be an important qualifier. Not just in Germany. It’s interesting because that is a young age for consent, and yet the abortion rate is lower for these countries. In general, teenagers and their unsafe practice...

These are common in Europe. Whenever there’s a pig butchering, these always follow suit. You can also find them in the local markets in Eastern Europe.

What’s also interesting is that the age of consent is generally around 14 and in some at 12! The age of consent in Germany is 14 if both people are under the age of 18. Re: Abortion Rates by Countries of the World

Letter to the US Supreme Court by Mother Teresa in 1994. https://groups.csail.mit.edu/mac/users/rauch/nvp/roe/mothertheresa_roe.html This paragraph stood out to me. The Constitutional Court of the Federal Republic of Germany recently ruled that “the unborn child is entitled to its rights to life in...

Re: Abortion Rates by Countries of the World

I find this information interesting. https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/abortion-rates-by-country I think this definitely reflects religious views. But I was surprised that Russia is 72% Orthodox and still has the most abortions. I suppose the Russian Orthodox are not as strong on t...

Re: LGBT and Christian Persecution

I personally like Hungary‘s approach. It’s not illegal, however traditional families are protected. And they strongly use Christian principles in their law making.
Poland is another, in this day and age these countries are showing a country can try to live morally and westernised.
