Nothing defensive, as I've nothing to defend. I'm not a voter nor an evangelical.
But the quote above makes it seem like if Evangelicals would all vote, they could alter the elections. Perhaps they could impact it, but the quote throws the electoral college out the window

So if there are about 100 million evangelical Protestants in the US (which there are), and 25 million aren't voting, then 75 million of them are. 75% of Evangelicals are, therefore, voters. This is a MUCH higher percentage than the general US population. There's no telling if Mr. Carson is counting ...

I bet we could help the situation by not fueling the fire. People are absolutely consumed with it all; it would do them a lot of good to just not talk politics all the time. Break the cycle
