Try hard not to offend. Try harder not to be offended.
Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not after you.
I think I am funnier than I really am.

Perhaps Mark Twain said it best, ”Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.”

Most or all of this drama, humiliation, wasted taxpayer money could be spared -
with even modest attempt at presenting balanced facts from the start.

I don't want to distract too much from the topic of this thread, so let's start a new thread to discuss who is providing what level of credible detail on this story:

Is it biblical? Is it Christlike? Is it loving? Is it true? How can I find out?

I think I would score many of these much differently.JimFoxvog wrote:I found this a relevant graphic:

Re: Credible News Sources
Two of the news sites I listen to most are on there, but not the way I would classify them. They are the BBC & Fox. I see them as leaning pretty much equally Left & Right, respectively. If they cover the same story, I figure the truth is probably somewhere in the middle.JimFoxvog wrote:I found this a relevant graphic:

Re: Credible News Sources
Of course, we all have our own slants and would rank things a bit differently.
I'd put Huffington Post as closer to the middle left and right, and Fox more to the right and closer to the bottom.
I pretty much agree with the center circle and the upper center oval (if read knowing the secular corporate slant). But I find useful things I don't see elsewhere in both Occupy Democrats and Infowars. It just takes more research to verify if what is being said has some truth in it.

Can you find a similar chart that reflects your own views? Or describe what it would look like?Josh wrote:No kidding. The author of that's own bias is apparent.Robert wrote:I think I would score many of these much differently.JimFoxvog wrote:I found this a relevant graphic:
Jim - do you know how that chart was created? Is there data behind it, or is it subjective? Who created it?

Re: Credible News Sources
Both Huffington and Fox have really broad ovals on this image. I agree with that - both have everything from pure partisan gossip to thoughtful and well-researched articles that are much more even-minded. So your impression of these sources may depend a lot on which kinds of articles you pay the most attention to.JimFoxvog wrote:Of course, we all have our own slants and would rank things a bit differently.
