Hubby is a hunter, so if there is any steak at this house, it is venison steak. I have a Salisbury steak recipe made out of venison. Baked in mushroom gravy, it is a family favorite.Sudsy wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 2:05 pm What ? Christians indulge in steak ? How is this not living extravagantly ?
An additional thought - Beef is a significant source of global greenhouse gas emissions: Its carbon footprint is eight times that of chicken’s and five times that of pork’s. From here - https://www.newscientist.com/article/23 ... in-the-us/

I win the argument. Everyone will agree with me.
I like my steak as low priced as possible.

Sorry, my bad. It just struck me that steak was often considered too expensive to have when I was a youth, all except hotdogs which some call 'tube steak'. I think I was in my twenties before I first barbecued a steak. I like mine medium with A1 sauce.QuietlyListening wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 5:00 pm Love how a post about how you like your steak turns into a 'discussion' about green house emissions before page 2.
How to take a perfectly fun post and make it controversial.
MN is as bad as FB. Just have to shake my head.
So, what do others put on their steak. Hopefully no one uses ketchup. (Says a career Heinz employee )

My rifle is a Winchester .30-06 with a scope. It was a gift from a friend when I helped him dispatch a feral pig problem. I like it much better than an Enfield. The Winchester is a more accurate weapon. My friend did smoke quite a bit of bacon that year.steve-in-kville wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 10:19 amI bet you have an old Enfield rifle chambered in .303 British somewhere. Wake the neighbors up!

Re: Tell us how you like your steak!
I didn't look up the reference, but there IS an OT text admonishing people not to eat raw meat. (So I think the 'abomination before God' refers to the other end of the spectrum.)
