i’ve sometimes been puzzled that you say you don’t ordinarily view videos, but then seem to be aware of content.
i appreciate both. sometimes i like to listen while doing other things. but, nothing like a transcript!

I associate with people who do, and you can pretty much count on any popular video going around right or left wing circles to eventually hit my social sphere and I just ask the person who sends it to me what it’s about.
Some videos I play in the car and listen to the audio like it’s a podcast.

i’m sad now, my grdaughter is 15, my daughter has been quite good about restricting screen time, using filters and various controls, but now allows her to have an inherited smartphone. i’ve urged her to change to a basic flipphone, i.e, a phone with out computer, even better without camera.
i’m now told smartphones, texting, instagram, are “required” for teens, if they want to be at all normal.
it’s a sad state.
thing is, my grdaughter originally asked for a basic flip phone. i was present when they were shopping. it’s the “adults” deciding what’s “required” (to be cool) for teens. heaven forbid a child is not cool.
