I know a family living in the region. They were away from home when the aftershock hit, and became stranded. Last I heard, they and others from their small group of believers had found temporary shelter in a house, but it's uncertain when they may be able to return to their apartment.

The numbers of fatalities are overwhelming. So many trapped, beyond reach of rescue.
How many injured, left homeless, without families, jobless?

It reminds of 9-11-2001, when so many were killed, the need for medical first responders was shockingly low. Will this be like that?
Where cleanup and reconstruction are primary, lives “gone?”
