Just thought I'd share this to raise awareness of the situation in Yemen. It's the largest humanitarian crisis in the world right now...so many lives in urgent need. Perhaps you already know about this. I knew there was a civil war going on, but didn't know the extent of the crisis before reading this a couple weeks ago.

Re: Crisis in Yemen
This has been going on for years; I raised it on MennoNerds a year ago, and a few other people agreed that it's notable just how little attention it gets compared to places that are constantly in the news.

Crisis fatigue I guess.
We like to feel a sense of accomplishment, and when we are overwhelmed by crisis, we tend not to do anything.

Re: Crisis in Yemen
We pray for the People in the Middle East and elsewhere. Our church has people over there helping. It never seems enough but God recognizes the efforts.

Or perhaps it's best to focus on our neighbours, and anywhere we have to travel to where we run into people who are also our neighbours, even if only temporarily.RZehr wrote:Crisis fatigue I guess.

Of course I am in favour of donating $$ to CAM and letting their people decide where the funds are best spent. They have a much better idea of what global needs are than I do.
