Going out of business ..

Post by temporal1 »

i got an unhappy surprise in my mailbox yesterday.
Country Curtains sent a “Going out of business” catalogue. :(

i don’t know anything about them, beyond that i’ve enjoyed doing mail order business with them for many years. not a big customer! but, they had dependable quality. great customer service, semi-custom options, etc.

possibly some forum members are CC customers, also?
they have a number of stores, i never visited one. i know many make their own window treatments, and, i have, too. but, it’s nice to have alternatives when materials are not available. it’s no longer easy to find nice quality goods. some materials require special equipment, or heavy-duty equipment, and advanced skills. CC sold some yard goods, also.

there are so many businesses like this that have closed since the 2007 bank failures.
locally, we were hit hard. so sad.
