Black walnuts are my favorite, but they are not usually thought of by the name "walnuts".
I don’t overly care for walnuts but what is another name for them?
I don't know another name. There are black walnuts and English walnuts. They are related botanically but taste quite different. Black walnuts are HARD to crack, needing a hammer or a special nutcracker. Black walnuts have a much stronger flavor.

Black walnuts have a fantastic flavor in things like cookies or ice cream. But I wouldn't snack on them like I would English walnuts. It's a little like coffee. Coffee and coffee flavored foods are great but I don't munch on coffee beans.

I love all nuts plus they are mad healthy. Walnuts are a good source of Omega 3 fatty acids and Brazil nuts have a ridicolous amount of Selenium, three or four of them will get you your daily dose. What a great resource our God gave us in these fruits.
