On a pizza? Delicious. And healthy (not the pizza dough, tho).

To my immediate knowledge, I never had them. Guess I should change that....

I like them on pizza sometimes, too. My pizza dough is 100% whole wheat, so pretty healthy also, unless one can't stomach gluten.

I love anchovies
When I cook pork shoulder or lamb, I sometimes chop up crushed garlic, fresh rosemary, and anchovies, mix in salt and pepper, and rub it all over the outside. I also cut slits into the meat all over and slip some of the mixture in.

They are excellent and necessary in Pasta Puttanesca.
They are also the main ingredient in Worcestershire sauce that gives it it umami flavor.

I like sardines but never had anchovies. Pickled herring is a rarely consumed delicacy.

When I did pizza delivery, we had an off-menu special that was a favorite of the crew: EBA.

I keep a few canned sardines and tuna in my desk drawer at work in case I need extra protein. I little hot sauce goes a long way.
