Re: Idioms
There are some very vulgar jokes about that in Spanish.
In Spain the verb "coger" (pronounced co-hair) means to catch, pick up, take ahold of, etc. So a Spaniard might use the verb "coger" to ask where to catch the bus.
In Mexico and Central America the verb "coger" is a vulgar term for having sex, equivalent to the F-word in English.
So the joke goes, a Spaniard visiting Mexico asks someone where to "coger" the bus and the Mexican looks at him curiously and answers: "El escape?" which means "the tailpipe?".

When I was in Nicaragua, I was drinking a coffee when a bunch of young women came in and started giggling loudly about "soy latte". One of them went up to the barista, pointed to herself, and said, "soy latte!"
Not vulgar, but I thought it was funny.

Is it biblical? Is it Christlike? Is it loving? Is it true? How can I find out?

One brick short of a load.
The elevator doesn't make it to the top floor.
He has a cuckoo that nests in his attic and sings. (This one is a German idiom, but I think it's funny.)

One of the grandchildren uses "A french fry short of a happy meal."
Cockney rhyming slang is loaded with such interesting phrases, far too many to post here. If you have "time to kill", you may enjoy doing an internet search of it.

By the way, every time I see this thread I think of a thread topic with one letter different. Maybe you could start it for us.
