Whole kernal corn tastes the same to fish, no matter the brand!

I consulted the kitchen expert and manager. She says the following:
Tuna and salmon, only name brand. Too much water in the cheaper brands and they do not taste ‘quite right’ (her words).

Veg is store brand frozen only when we do not grow it. We do not grow corn and that is the only veg we buy regularly as far as I know. Occasionally I notice sweet potatoes and potatoes in the trolly when the garden supply is low.

Store bakery sweet items are bought as occasional treats. Of late I have discovered apple cider doughnuts and will pick up a pack when at the store.

I help with cleaning but I do not know what is in the full pail that is sometimes handed to me. In retirement one becomes a jack of all trades.

I checked all but pet food and deli meat as we never buy those items, whatever the brand may be.

Mostly because I don't have any pets.
Get a Beagle. They will eat just about anything.
