MN isn’t a democracy, with mob rule.
It’s subjective, with admin-mods retaining the right to settle matters according to their deeply-held beliefs.
This model requires a level of respect and submission that (i find) aligns with NT teachings.
i do not expect perfection in any direction, including in myself. . Also in line with NT teachings.
MN enjoys a lot of volunteered time+thought, some unknown expenses, yet does not charge for registering.

Most or all of this drama, humiliation, wasted taxpayer money could be spared -
with even modest attempt at presenting balanced facts from the start.

Try hard not to offend. Try harder not to be offended.
Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not after you.
I think I am funnier than I really am.

Every time there is even a whisper of scandal in the Anabaptist community, our online user numbers explode. Some are innocent curiosities, others are people imbedded in CAM trying to stop the leaks.

I've never experienced this. But then, I don't go looking for trouble, either.

I left facebook over two years ago because I saw this happening within my own family members, along with "friends" of said family members.steve-in-kville wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 5:02 amI've never experienced this. But then, I don't go looking for trouble, either.

Re: social media, present company included
I think the only trouble I had, both laughable, was I posted something early in the pandemic and a coworker saw it and ratted my out to HR claiming I was insensitive. I took care of that in a hurry and hasn't happened since.Robert wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 8:21 amI left facebook over two years ago because I saw this happening within my own family members, along with "friends" of said family members.steve-in-kville wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 5:02 amI've never experienced this. Re: social media, present company included
I never participated but I got to watch some very cringey online arguments. One relative got very mixed up with BLM and was constantly trying to argue about it. And then a few more conservative relatives argued back. She told them that they were basically “trying to kill” her mixed race children, which was an absolutely absurd accusation.Robert wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 8:21 amI left facebook over two years ago because I saw this happening within my own family members, along with "friends" of said family members.steve-in-kville wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 5:02 amI've never experienced this. I had two people that, while we are still "friends" on Facebook, I had to unfollow their content due to similar issues. IIRC, some folks dropped me entirely over the Covid drama.
That's okay.
