**Revised: pick 2**

Vote & discuss.

Optional open-ended essay question: in your experience, does the price reflect the quality of bacon? Is home grown & processed bacon always better than store bought?

3, 4, 5 also. Not soggy though. I had some fantastic bacon for breakfast yesterday. Extra thick, extra peppery.

I'll readily consume anything from #5 through #9. I keep fried bacon in my lunch bag and snack on it throughout the day when I need some quick protein.

My personal preference is for British back loin bacon not the American pork belly bacon. I will only have it on occasion but bacon tends to be too salty for my preferences.

I have an RV friend who is all about bacon when he is camping. Their family reunions every year are themed around bacon and including it in every dish. He claims he is crazy about it but I tell him he is as mad as a box of frogs. He laughs about it.

It is both. However I buy the turkey ham unsliced and in a chunk. Then I cube it for recipes. I put the cubed turkey ham in a strainer and run hot water over it for a minute or so, which lessens the salt content. Running hot water over it washes some of the fat off, which turkey ham has very little to begin with. It probably isn't real healthy, but still healthier than the salted, cured, fatty pork, in bacon.

I am not a big bacon fan, but do indulge in a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich on rare occasions.
