Lester's bookshelf

Post by Bootstrap »

Lester's website has these books on it:

Who can identify these books, and perhaps say a little about each? Let's ask Lester to wait a few days and weigh in after the rest of us have had a chance. I don't recognize most of them, does anyone else? Let's start without using Google to let anyone who actually knows these books to weigh in first.

Is it biblical? Is it Christlike? Is it loving? Is it true? How can I find out?

The red one second from the left is a hymnal, not sure which one. I think it's the Protestant one.

I am just building a bookshelf. Maybe Lester will drop a few books on it one day.

Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not after you.

Good job!!

It's awesome to know that folks still like an actual 'book' and see the beauty in them.
Last week driving to church, I was approaching from behind a young lady walking on the sidewalk, obviously hands holding something in front of her. Naturally I assumed she was on her cell phone, but lo and behold, to my delight she was holding a book! Although we can't assume a 'good' book but our pastor was saying his favorite gift is a book, and I agree.

My copy is significantly thinner than that.

That would be my guess as well.

I wonder if the one on the right end is the Martyr's Mirror.

The one next to it seems to have something about Tupperware in the title.

Couple of things. While I would love to have these books, the picture is actually a free picture from the internet. See this site.

Second, it seems to be a German bookshelf. The first book from the left is by a well known German Lutheran writer. The second one is a German hymnal of some sort.

I thought of the Marytrs Mirror for the end one as well. I'm pretty sure at least one of them is a German Bible. The one with "tupperware" in the title looks to me like a journal. Boot can you read German cursive?
