Re: Your first email account?
1991.
I was a grad student at the University of Washington and a friend of mine who worked at Microsoft demanded that I activate my university email account so she could send me messages. Prior to then I apparently had a school email account but had not bothered to activate or use it.
Domain would have been uw.edu and it was free.
I don't remember how I logged on from home. I think maybe UW had dial-up servers you could access.
I didn't get a private account until some years later. I think that was Earthlink.

Re: Your first email account?
When we got our first desktop PC, it was a 286 DOS PC, I remember we had dialup with a Compuserve account. My Dad downloaded a picture once and it took all night. I didn’t use email until high school and it was the shared family email.
My first email was with broadband at college, @goshen.edu address. My first personal email not connected to the college was a hotmail account.
