This thread is for understanding what forum members are saying by their avatar.
No one needs to explain but they can be requested to explain.
Perhaps it is just me being old, so I'll wait to see if others also would like certain avatars explained.

Re: Avatars Explained
Back in 2014, there was a thread titled "PeterG's Church History Avatar of the Week" in which PeterG and others would periodically change their avatars to various historical figures. Mine dates back to that thread, and also to 1528-1556.

Interesting, I guess I missed that thread. I just want to plainly show myself as I am -- with clothes on, of course, for this audience.

We are not amused. I mean, do the hats look even remotely similar?
It is Pilgram Marpeck, of course.

Thankyou. I was thinking of the time period you gave and who I could recall in this time period. I wasn't trying to be amusing and thought there might be some connection with him and the King James version of the bible.ohio jones wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2023 11:26 amWe are not amused. That's a long time to be wearing that same shirt. Are you sure your forehead has not receded more since that picture ? Just kidding.
