AI Images and Deep Fake Issues

Post by MaxPC »

Experts say that AI-generated images and deepfakes can lead not only to widespread disinformation, including malicious campaigns, but also to cybercrime such as phishing.

“The impact of AI, in terms of the spread of disinformation, is going to be huge,” said V.S. Subrahmanian, a computer science professor at Northwestern University, “because what we’re seeing is the ability of ordinary people — not technologists, but in this case, an artist — who are able to use off-the-shelf tools to create extremely realistic imagery.”

As the world becomes more politicised; and as hostilities wax into wars, we will see more efforts to “win”. Big CyberTech will use AI algorithms to distort truth. It is already being done as attested by this article. No laws will stop this deception for this deception is being pushed by the Original Deceiver. It is time to go back to the stacks and read published hardcopies, instead of trusting an internet “source”. Relearning statistical maths and thorough reading for good comprehension is more important than it ever has been in history.

Be they culture wars, political wars, or religious wars, satan keeps dissension high to crush fidelity to Christ. As Christians we are called to the Greater Kingdom of God. Christ is the victor for all eternity. Feed your faith in Him. Remain close to Him. Avoid the political and religious dissensions. Pray, work and read the printed Bible daily. Mind the Beatitudes; focus on raising the family in the faith.

Matthew 10:16
Coming Persecutions
16 “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.

Photographs, journalists (the lying press is the enemy of a free people), movies, and videos have always gotten away with mistruths and falsehoods. But now it will be much worse.

No picture should be trusted. Nor news article. Face to face conversations and testimony are what should be believed. And the Bible - it was written before the modern era of reams of fake text.

The Bible is truth. I have a friend who has started to collect older Bibles from thrift stores and estate sales; any translation is acceptable to him. He is concerned about the accuracy of those printed after 1995. I do not know his reasons for that date. Perhaps it has something to do with computerised translations. When I speak with him again I will ask.
