Governor Inslee signed, it’s now in Congress... Voters in California last year backed an initiative to adopt permanent daylight time, and legislators in Oregon, Idaho and even British Columbia are considering the same move.
That’s significant, Washington lawmakers say, because the West Coast should aim to be unified in its timekeeping.
Past measures introduced in Washington and other states to do away with the time change focused on adopting permanent standard time, which proved unpopular.
What people want is that extra hour of light in the evening rather than the morning,

I definitely prefer DST all year. I don't like it getting dark early. Loved it when it was still light out at 930 pm but that only lasted a couple weeks or so. Now it gets dark by 8 pm. When they turn the clocks back later this fall it is dismal. I really love that in Heaven there is no night.

DST is part of the curse. Especially to those who suffer from SAD. Last year was bad. Really, really bad. Started affecting me in early October. This year I’m ok so far. And that’s certainly fine with me!
