BRUSSELS (Reuters) - A committee at the European Parliament on Monday gave the thumbs up to scrapping the twice-yearly clock change in the European Union but with a two-year delay to 2021.

Well with a mixed blessing, our church services are cancelled for tomorrow due to the snow and cold, so we can sleep in a little if we want to...carry on.

Try hard not to offend. Try harder not to be offended.
Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not after you.

Trump says he's 'O.K.' with 'permanent' Daylight Saving Time
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump- ... aving-time
.. The president would need to work with Congress in order to repeal the 1966 Johnson-era law.

Republican Florida Sens. Marco Rubio and Rick Scott filed a bill last week to extend daylight saving time for the entire year, called the Sunshine Protection Act.

The Florida legislature voted last year to adopt the measure, but in order for it to take effect,
Congress must change the federal law, and Trump must sign it. ..

April 2019
“Permanent daylight saving time passes Washington state House 90-6, heads to Inslee’s desk”
https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-ne ... lees-desk/
.. Voters in California last year backed an initiative to adopt permanent daylight time, and legislators in Oregon, Idaho and even British Columbia are considering the same move.
That’s significant, Washington lawmakers say, because the West Coast should aim to be unified in its timekeeping.

Past measures introduced in Washington and other states to do away with the time change focused on adopting permanent standard time, which proved unpopular.

What people want is that extra hour of light in the evening rather than the morning,
said Sen. Sam Hunt, D-Olympia, who was among the sponsors of the Senate bill.
Governor Inslee signed, it’s now in Congress.

I definitely prefer DST all year. I don't like it getting dark early. Loved it when it was still light out at 930 pm but that only lasted a couple weeks or so. Now it gets dark by 8 pm. When they turn the clocks back later this fall it is dismal. I really love that in Heaven there is no night.

DST is part of the curse. Especially to those who suffer from SAD. Last year was bad. Really, really bad. Started affecting me in early October. This year I’m ok so far. And that’s certainly fine with me!
