MN's first poll? -
DST ends this weekend.
Please add a message below about your thoughts. :D

DST is supposed to help save energy due to less electricity use (some studies dispute this). It would be interesting to know if this savings would evaporate if DST was in effect all year - if people would simply adjust their lifestyles to a later hour.
I don't care if you want to move the clock five hours ahead, just please, put it where you want it and keep it there!

It may have started that way, but it turns out it is the retailers who have pushed this on us. If it stays darker later, people shop longer and spend more money, this in turn increases the state sales tax.

Queensland has no DST. People just wake up really early in the summer.

None of the above.

I prefer Local Solar Time, which in my town is 19 minutes ahead of Standard time.

All jest aside, I used to set my watch to Local Solar Time (noon is when the sun is at its zenith) when I would go backpacking. It gave me a better sense of how many hours of daylight I had available and, of course, when high noon was.

I forgot to reset my clocks (especially my alarm clock) and woke up an hour earlier than I had to and we were still late for church this morning...
