Although a few translations of Hebrews 12:1 do use "crowd" it seems that "cloud" is more common. And since this is cyberspace, and everything we post is stored in "the cloud" ...

is that those who knew these brothers and sisters best would write a sort of tribute to each of them.
I have only met a few of the folks here, and of those who have passed into the presence of our Lord and Savior, I have only met Wayne in person, and that very briefly. I did have some PM conversations with "Dr. Wojo", partly since he was living in Oklahoma,
and me being an Okie and all. :)
Neto, i’m interested in “what you had in mind” .. :)
i’m afraid this thread is going to do what this forum is “good”/dependable at doing, taking on a spontaneous life of its own. :blah:
i’ll be watching to see if you begin anew.

oj, does your eye never “auto-fill” and forget??
mine surely did on this one.

I don't know if I was thinking 'cloud' and just typed 'crowd', or if I just typed it wrong. Yes, the word in the text is 'cloud'.

Maybe some gracious moderator could fix it for me. All I can say in my defense is that I'm one of that minority that is in their right mind. (I'm left-handed.) I am probably also somewhat dyslexic, because I often type words with the letters all mixed up. Swap consonants near the beginning of a word for one near the end, or type a word completely backwards. There was a girl in the youth group back home who was also (I just now typed that word as 'laos') left-handed, and we could both write 'backwards' just as fast as 'forward'. So I do a lot of proof-reading of what I write. (But not always very well. Exhibit A: the deal about women 'saving' their legs. )

Reason: change crowd to cloud

I think it is correct the way it is. He is no longer in Maine, but now in the Main place for the rest of eternity, at Jesus' feet.

I took this past Friday off, not that I had any projects going, but felt I needed to rest and to breath. It was special as its the first time in many, many years that all the children are in school, so the house was quiet for a few hours.

I do my best meditating out at the park, by the tracks with a cup of coffee. These days, I get out there just past 6am to watch the sunrise. "I want to share my joy with you!" was one thing that left an impact on my time there. I wish I could have met Wayne in person as his life appeared to be a non-stop beacon of sunshine.

jcm unfortunately passed away some time ago.
I last saw his widow a few years ago at a youth rally to distribute tracts/sing on the street.
She attended with her children and helped take care of the crowd of young people.
I was impressed with her Christian spirit whilst going through a very difficult time.

Painful to read this. i had no idea. i enjoyed his (often cryptic, thoughtful) forum input, ‘hoped he would return.
The rooster quote reflects his down to earth, hard to dispute, logic.

He once emailed some pics of his wife+family. i was touched how his wife appeared so happy! :D
The spirit of love in their family came thru in the photos. He was so young.

They will miss him for as long as they breathe.
