Contemporary selections from the Book of Common Prayer

Post by Ernie »

Does anyone know of an online source (or otherwise) of a collection of prayers from the Book of Common Prayer (or similar) that has just the prayers in modern day English and not all the worship service stuff.

Please provide helpful comments and suggestions only. I'm not looking for another "fluff" or bantering thread. :)

The old woodcutter spoke again. “It is impossible to talk with you. You always draw conclusions. Life is so vast, yet you judge all of life with one page or one word. You see only a fragment. Unless you know the whole story, how can you judge?"

Just doing a quick Google search came up with this: http://www.bcponline.org/
Then on the left just click on Prayers and Thanksgivings.
That links to each of the prayers - as far as I can tell.
First time I have heard of this even so hopefully this is what you are looking for...
I looks like it is the 1979 version...

Thanks. I missed that.

Now if someone could take out all the Anglican stuff and put this in 21st century English, it would just what I am looking for. :)
