Anyone see the “Christmas Star” last night or tonight?
'Great conjunction' of Jupiter and Saturn will form a 'Christmas Star' on the winter solstice
By Doris Elin Urrutia 12 days ago

Jupiter and Saturn will have their closest encounter in almost 400 years on the solstice (Dec. 21).

We haven't been able to see it either because of clouds. It is clear today here. If you want to see it, you need to look really early in the evening, as soon as it gets dark. It is rotating downward, so by 6:30pm it is below the horizon. Even as early as 5:30 pm, if you have hills or something to the west, it may be out of sight.

It was too cloudy the 21st but last night we saw it- not quite totally converged but still neat to see it.

Did anyone else see that huge thing falling in flames tonight in the northwest sky? About 1/3 up from the horizon and straight up? Moving from south to north?
Sounds like many people saw it tonight but no one knows what it was.

Lasted for about a full minute or more. Watch this:

Now sounds like they think it’s a spent SpaceX rocket.
We were driving home from church when it appeared in front of us. Huge! Way bigger in real life than the videos make it appear.

All of this star gazing MUST have some kind of eschatological implications...where is my copy of "The Late, Great Planet Earth"?....
