"Fake news"—is it "fake" news, or fake "news"? Only Zuckerberg and his "Macedonian teenagers" know for sure. But the truth is there for those with eyes to see it. Strategically-placed quotation marks enable the moguls of Silicon Valley to game the online advertising system and simultaneously avoid surveillance due to a secret revenue-sharing deal with the chief spooks of the NSA, lifetime "bureaucrats" impervious to changes in the executive branch. This is the revelation that even Snowden could not share for fear of angering powers much greater than the US government, and the real reason he is trapped in Russia. (Also, this post and my last one have already earned me $0.000625. A script embedded in the code will cause Google and Baidu to disproportionally cache this page, ultimately increasing my haul to nearly $0.14. Or rather, the Bitcoin equivalent of $0.14 as of 12:00 GMT on 3/11/17.)

Yes, people are funny that way. There is one area of fake news and conspiracy theories that you have not touched on at all yet, Peter. Perhaps the most prominent one of all. It revolves around food.
