Meanwhile, in Australia

Post by temporal1 »

Australia is often mention on this forum. :D
A quick search resulted in 203 interesting mentions.

But, today’s news is exciting for me, even tho i don’t know a whole bunch about it. :D
i hope it’s for the best!

In the last year or two, i’ve read where Australia has been heavily pressured on the “typical”
lib agenda, esp regarding SSM, pushing school children into unwanted “sex ed” requirements,
and pro-corporate-abortion politics.
Strange stuff for supposedly “slow” Australia to be wrestling with. :-|

NYT: “Morrison Wins in Australian Election, Confounding Pollsters“

The victory for Prime Minister Scott Morrison upset analysts’ expectations
after six tumultuous years of conservative government.
His Labor opponent, Bill Shorten, will resign his party leadership.
