They originally stated that they would start an English version soon, but I think M.Z.s threats have prevented that here in the US. I don't think he can stop them from doing what ever they want in Brazil, though.
it would be interesting to know. in the HuffPo article, it said the site accumulated 100,000 members in a short period, that reflects interest! (including MZ's legal interest, evidently.)
the writer's predictable disdain for Christians paints a now common picture of a typical liberal college student's attitude. people actually pay tuitions for that result. no refunds. sigh.

This is Carnival season in Brazil, and pictures of totally nude participants even appear in the newspapers. Porn is everywhere. I've seen kids less than teenage running magazine booths, where the trash was not only available, but with advertising posters on the outside of the shack.
So there is a reason for Brazilian Christian people to want an alternative to FaceBook.
indeed. i've read a little about it. i know a family that adopted older children "from the streets" in S America. they will probably never know all the types of abuse+neglect those children experienced.
i cringe to think what children are subjected to in the U.S.; overall, they may have better housing and food, but their minds are subjected to porn and violence, idolatry - in their very homes, through music, videos, printed materials, etc. economic status guarantees nothing.

I have made complaints about inappropriate posts, but they have always responded that it was within their rules. So I just delete stuff every day.
If this was not my main connection to scattered family & friends, I would get off of it.
i've had some success with having awful posts removed. i have also received their message about "it's within their rules," but not every time. in the process, i have those offensive posters blocked from my view.
when FB locked me out last October, i was really glad i had 1 "friend." not hundreds.
i could imagine, for those who have many, it would be significant. so, "note to self" about not getting overly invested in it.
FB is not as popular as it was, maybe a better way will be coming along?
imho, cyberspace is in its infancy. it will take time to really learn how to make good use of it.
time, not, nanoseconds!
