Has anyone ever visited the Mennokate in Bad Oldesloe? I will be in Hamburg for a few days.
I can get myself into town on the train, but from there?????????

I haven't been, but it looks interesting. Especially when their web site says things like this:

Google Maps suggests there are local buses from the Bahnhof that will get you about halfway there, but still a 10-20 minute walk beyond that. Or it's a 30 minute walk without the bus, mostly flat. Since they ask you to arrange a visit in advance, they could probably advise if there are taxis or Uber available in case the weather is not conducive to walking.
